Cannot place image #137

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select "place image"
2. select a jpg file to insert
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Until recently the image appeared in in the main FP window in a resizable box. 
Now no image appears at all.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
Mac Lion 10.7.4
