Ramdisk on iPhone 3GS running 5.1 #56

I'm triying to start a ramdisk on an  iphone 3gs running IOS 5.1 I keep getting 
exploit failed message in redsn0w following the reboot message after the second 
stage. Should this method work on 3gs running 5.1? I used the 5.1 firmward and 
ran through the process in the wiki, however using a newer version of redsn0w 
that has the keys for 5.1. Tried older 5.01 OS as well, but same exploit failed 
message.

It should work if the device is running 5.1. I cannot reproduce the issue, does 
the exploit failed message show up before or after the ramdisk is uploaded ? 
Also, does the device screen turns white at some point ? thanks
