One mail account works fine, the other not at all. Both are from the same provider. #594

OS: MX Linux 23 (Debian 12 Bookworm) x64

Linux Desktop Manager: KDE Plasma v: 5.27.5 wm: kwin_x11

Birdtray version: 1.11.0
Thunderbird version: 115.11.0 Betterbird version: 115.11.0 Birdtray origin: package manager
Qt version: NA

Description I have Birdtray set up for two mail accounts at vivaldi.net, Birdtray notifies fine with one, does not notify at all for the other. Back maybe a year ago, everything was working fine, then the one account stopped working, I don't recall any circumstances surrounding the change, it might have been a TB update.

I am now using Betterbird instead of Thunderbird. It uses the same TB database, and Birdtray is behaving the same with it as with TB.

I have done the Repair routine for both account inboxes, and it did not change anything.

Expected behavior

I expect mail from both accounts to be shown on the BT icon. But the icon shows no badge for mail in one account. To Reproduce

  1. Configure Birdtray to monitor two accounts from same remote server.
  2. send test mail to certain account
  3. BT does not notify

Note: "Allow ignoring current unread counter" is not checked for either account.

NOTE 2: I wonder if the problem is the imap.vivaldi-1.net spec for the mail account that isn't working. Of course, there is no such literal server. This seems a strange way to register a second account at the vivaldi server.

Thanks!
