H2O is an Open Source, Distributed, Fast & Scalable Machine Learning Platform: Deep Learning, Gradient Boosting (GBM) & XGBoost, Random Forest, Generalized Linear Modeling (GLM with Elastic Net), K-Means, PCA, Generalized Additive Models (GAM), RuleFit, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Stacked Ensembles, Automatic Machine Learning (AutoML), etc.
When a user decides to change the version of H2O they want to use in R/Python, they have to uninstall the existing R/Python version and then install the new version.
This can become time consuming/complicated if they are typically using multiple H2O versions and if they are not able to do the install directly (i.e. some admin/IT group has to do it).
Steam has the ability for the user to select the H2O version when starting a cluster. It would be nice if that extended to the R/Python clients.
