Apply lintr to all R package code #435

Prior to releasing the R package, let's apply lintr to the code and clean up any formatting issues.

Nope but this should be very low priority.

@mdymczyk Did you mean to apply the "priority:high" label? This is low priority.

Yes, low priority. Removed for now.

@ledell I added the high priority label to all 0.2.0 milestone issues we really want/need in this release - if it's not necessary for R (not sure if its needed for CRAN submission) then indeed we can remove that label.
