2 months ago For improved topic-oriented discovery (like Slack), I would actually prefer users being able to add hashtags to lists and then pinning one of such lists in their sidebar.

But trending hashtags is easier because Mastodon already has this feature and an API for it.
Describe
A timeline with trending hashtags maybe filterable by certain regions or languages would be nice.
Why
So I can check out what is going on in my country or interest group/community.
