Request for ability to set Installed state of an update without actually applying the update. #175

Discord user @KerrZ#6875 has requested the ability to flag an update as installed without actually installing it.

This would cover two possibilities:

  1. Where an update on MEGA has had its date stamp changed and now becomes an installation candidate again as a result of the change.
  2. Where a user wants to ignore an update and not have to keep deselecting it during update processing.

I think this has merit as there has been several occasions in recent memory where a case 1 has occurred and this has required users to either bite the bullet and reapply updates or correcting entries have been made available manually to users to fix the fingerprint used to determine validity of an update file.

I am not aware of any events of case 2 in the 2TB RPE context. I would think that from a support perspective it would be useful (although not essential) to know if an update has been deliberately ignored. Hopefully a user would be aware enough to tell someone who was helping them.

On further reflection I think this request is likely to cause more problems than it solves.
