@felisida : oh. its a radio component. I always thought this was somehow a network music player, or something.

I think those are still responses from the webserver. Instead - if you change something, I require the parts that are sent to the server.

I also just noticed that I had to clearify some sentences in https://github.com/h4de5/home-assistant-vimar/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#set-attributes - I hope it is easier to understand now.

I am not yet sure how this will work as I cannot test it. it should give you 4 options to select from for the sources (I am just guessing that 4 is for radio) and it should give you 8 channels which you can switch through via next and previous buttons.

I can turn off, but not off; moreover I can contro the volume, but I can't choose the Source(Fonte) radio or Aux, and there aren't the station memorized you are almost there!!

About Audio, now I can open and close the vimar component from HA; I view 4 source, but the action from HA don't affect the componente and moreover I can't see the stations memorized are 8. there is a button look like "stop" but don't make effect in the on mode when use the radio the card show plying from source 5 but doesn't exist in the source list

Can you give me a list of possible sources? And what each number mean? I limited it to 4 at the moment. The channels should be switchable through next/previous button but only when on source 4 (which i thought was radio) The stop button cannot believe removed i think. At least there is no option to say that the radio does not support a stop button.

i have only 2 source aux and radio, but it depends by configuration, because I know it possible to install a docker or a Bluetooth source and more the one radio

@felisida I added now up to 8 sources and changed the status query a little bit. If you update and restart we should see some more debug information about the media player. maybe we can find out which sources are available.

nothing, if I try to change the source in HA after 2/3 second return to source 5 and not affect the vimar component, in my case 1 is AUX an 5 is radio. the changes are unilateral, if I made change from web server the HA see the changes, but not if I made changes from HA, only the power work properly in both direction. if you want I can share the pc to try if there is other code that I didn't discovered

this is strange - I added a media player entity (without actually having the radio). there should be a info/debug message everytime you change something within HA:

it "somehow" describes the audio component a little more. still I am not sure why it does not work at the moment. my guess is, that it somehow messes up with channels and sources.

in most of your previous posts, that value of "source" is 4. is radio ment to be 4 or 5? or does this depend on the radio somehow? channel was set either to 0 or 4 - as far as I can see - so you mostly listening to those two channels? can you try to switch to different channels and sources on each of your radios on the webserver and describe it, so we can see the outcome in the list?

also switching to a different channel (as seen in https://github.com/h4de5/home-assistant-vimar/issues/7#issuecomment-650063368) should be easy for me, but the involved idobjects (2583, 1548 and 1572) have never been described before - so I can't see what attributes those ids stand for. It should have been one of those channel Ids (like in Row000017: '1458','channel','-1','4')

PS: this firmware manages all the Vimar components except the alarm, but manages the audio in all its parts, I don't know if it is possible to extrapolate the correct commands from this firmware, however I'm posting the link http: // www .ilevia.com / downloads /

@felisida that is an interesting project. But as far as I can see, they are building up on top of a KNX gateway, so they can send commands directly to the bus - without using the webserver. In that case unfortunately I cannot extract those commands.

You may have an erroneous config entry for shelly - but I don't see a reason why the audio devices, which where found according to the logs, should not show up in hass.

ok, it's work! I confirm the radio in my case is the source N° 5 and the AUX is the 1. if I change from APP I see the changing of source in HA, but if I try to change source from HA they don't send the command to CH Audio. if i chang number of station memorized the source remain still the n. 5
