Please consider adhering to Polyglot Markup to support both HTML5 and XHTML5 serialization.

From the Polyglot Markup spec:

This document summarizes design guidelines for authors who wish their XHTML or HTML documents to validate on either HTML or XML parsers, assuming the parsers to be HTML5-compliant.

@samaxes we decided not to use polyglot markup, see: #335 and #1176.
