what kind of Cpu do you prefer for mining? #317

Intel or AMD?

ı have really old intel i5 from 2015. it works but maksimum 2 plot perday

is new generation Amd better than intel?

R9 5950X with 140W PBO here - I set it up for 20 plots per day. However I do believe 50-80 plots per day would be possible with more SSD. I got only one plotting SSD now - 2TB seagate firecuda 520.

If I do not plot in parallel I am getting plot made in 3h50min. Intel should be close however.

I have AMD R7 3800X plotting ~20 plots/day I can go up to 40 plots using two of my 1TB M.2 SSD. Intel i7-9700k plotting~15 plots/day with two m.2 SSD.

I would recommend AMD for plotting and using intel spare CPU for farming.
