Hello,
I've checked your device (zhimi.airpurifier.mb3
), it is a native MIoT device and it exposes all its properties. It has 4 modes and the component shows them as-is. There is already a Favorite
mode and how does None
mode work? Additionally, since I don't have this device, what does Favorite Levels for Purifiers (0 to 14 for 3H)
mean? Could you please describe how does this option work?
Hi. here are some screenshots from the Mi Home app. Indeed there are 4 modes: Auto, Night (renamed Silent or Sleep depending on the integration), 3 levels of ventilator (could be found under Fan option in Miio or None in MIoT) and finally Manual that is Favorite. For Manual in the native android app Mi Home you have a sliding bar with 15 coverage options. Those coverage options correspond a certain ventilator speed and fan level. In Miio we are not having those 15 levels but instead they are using values from 0 to 14. This Manual/Favorite level is exposed now in Miio as a separate entity into home assistant.
Coverage 0 - 2-4 m² 1 - 5-9 m² 2 - 7-12 m² 3 - 12-22 m² 4 - 14-24 m² 5 - 14-25 m² 6 - 16-27 m² 7 - 17-30 m² 8 - 18-32 m² 9 - 19-33 m² 10 - 20-34 m² 11 - 22-38 m² 12 - 23-40 m² 13 - 26-45 m² 14 - 28-49 m²
Is is possible to change preset mode None to Favorite and add Favorite Levels for Purifiers (0 to 14 for 3H) as per official miio integration. During the last month the scan interval for official Miio integration was increased from 10s to 60s making it unusable for the community lovelace card. So MIoT is a valid alternative to replace the official integration. Also we have noticed a lot of unavailable periods with the official integration that are not noticed in MIoT https://community.home-assistant.io/t/lovelace-xiaomi-mi-air-purifier-3h-card/192100/187
