As there's no fork for the "heavily modified version by @sgalinski, I'll post that here:
TYPO3 6.2.26, Powermail 2.25.2, rh_recaptcha fork 0.1.1
When the option "Confirmation page" is selected, upon submission, the following error is thrown.

Additional info: this has occurred inside a fe_user area. But when I either remove the captcha (which isn't really needed there anyway) or the confirmation page the submission works again.
