Hi Everyone,

I think we are working to solve the same problem, I'm from Brasil working in this project Marighella It's a CMS to work with Jekyll+Github Repo+Github Pages.

I'll be grateful if we can talk about these projects.

Just fixing the link to Marighella: https://github.com/marighella/cms

I think the key difference is the fact that Hacienda relies on a small sinatra server to manage the content resources, whereas Marighella does that in the front-end (without the need to host anything). As far as the storage, both use Github.

Conclusion: both apps use the same idea to accomplish the same goal, but with a different implementation.

I've seen it just briefly.

I think the main difference is that Hacienda is just the storing component of the system. It can be plugged in with whatever frontend you want or need. Hacienda also does a bit more than just storing (enables filtering and translations).

I will more than happy to talk about Hacienda and find out more about Marighella. Feel free to contact me at mircea.moise@gmail.com or I can give you access to a our slack channel.
