@hajdbo Thanks for the contribution. Latest RouterOS releases have a "ignre Rx loss" flag. Could you test if that solves the issue and, if so, update the documentation to reflect that?

Good find, 7.15beta4 added a "sfp-ignore-rx-los" setting. Will test when 7.15 is released, which is probably in a couple of weeks. Let's delay merging until then.

Confirmed that sfp-ignore-rx-los allows to ping/telnet/webgui the sfp without plugging the fiber. Tested on my 5009 using routeros7.15beta8
