Product Overview

Based on our experiences within hacker communities, we've identified several key challenges that hinder long-term contributions and effective onboarding:

Tracking Work is Tedious
Reporting accomplishments for each task can be very cumbersome, making it difficult for communities to measure contributions accurately.

Lack of Sustainable Motivation
Relying solely on volunteer spirit doesn't support sustained contribution over time. While communities can't always offer immediate financial incentives, it’s clear that some form of reward is necessary to maintain engagement, even for tasks like housekeeping or administrative duties.

Onboarding is Challenging
Few people can join a community and start contributing immediately. Understanding a community's dynamics and finding a suitable entry point for contribution is often difficult without prior hands-on experience.

To address these challenges, we've developed a solution focused on Role-Based Rewards Distribution:

Manage Responsibilities and Rights by Role: Clearly define roles to outline specific responsibilities and rights within the community.
Track Micro-Contributions with P2P Token Transfers: Use peer-to-peer token transfers to monitor even the smallest contributions.
Set Rewards Based on Role and Engagement Period: Establish a reward system that considers both the role and the duration of engagement.
Quickly Distribute Rewards to a Large Number of Participants: Ensure that rewards are distributed efficiently and equitably to all contributors.
Our solution leverages technologies like Hats Protocol and Splits to automate and optimize these processes.

Potential Use Cases Include:

Open Source Software (OSS) and CivicTech projects
DAO-like creative teams
Residency program housekeeping
Additional bonuses for essential workers
By addressing these pain points, our solution aims to create a more engaging and sustainable environment for community participation and contribution.
