The book I am adding is A Sense of the World by Jason Roberts
I am adding this book to the Autobiographies and Biographies section.
I have read this book two times
I highly suggest adding "A Sense of the World" by Jason Roberts to any list of mind-expanding books. This book tells the incredible story of James Holman, a blind man who accomplished great feats as a traveler back in the 18th and 19th centuries. Despite his blindness, Holman relied on his other senses and the kindness of locals to navigate the world. The book provides a unique perspective on travel and exploration that is inspiring and remarkable. It has received critical acclaim and has been named a Best Book of the Year by numerous publications, making it a well-respected work. Overall, "A Sense of the World" is a fascinating read that highlights human achievement and offers an inspiring perspective on travel and exploration. Holman traveled a distance equivalent to that from the moon to Earth by the end of his life.
