The main focus of our project is to ensure zero waste and zero hunger. Consider the real-life scenarios where we waste food more than we use those. Every house parties, hotels will surely waste unused food which is more than enough to feed a hungry stomach. Hunger has always been an issue. We believe that if you can't feed hundred, just feed one. Why to waste the food when we can share it.
Through this project we would like to help the ones in need of food, the donator can be your neighbor, colleague, friend or an absolute stranger. You are hungry and your neighbor got some extra food, don’t wait to go get those. The hunger management app “HuMan App” connects the donator with two groups
->an individual collector who sets an area of search according to his convenience
->an NGO or similar kind of organizations who are willing to volunteer in distributing this collected food to the poor sections of our society.
Our Approach:
HuMan app is a web-based application which connects the donator with the collector in just few steps. The donator is asked to sign up and log in using their mobile number then he/she is supposed to add a description of the food they would like to share. The collector can set an area of his preference and connect with a donator nearby.
HuMan app uses Html,CSS,JS,and SCSS for the front-end part of our project. We use Django for the back-end framework. We have used google maps api and BackBuckle's api's for the maps and location tracking and other data storage purposes.
We expect a revolutionary change in how people think about the food they waste and the way Organizations and communities who work for the welfare of the people work.
