Iteration -1:
The team has divided the entire project development into three parts: Front end, Back end and Data Generation. The back-end subteam has finished the creation of basic APIs for data ingestion and login, along with figuring out the geolocation APIs and Google Maps API to be incorporated. The front-end subteam is working on the prototype of displaying the geo-coordinates on map through app and website, along with an interface for login. The mock data is being created as a database for presentation. Over the last few hours, the basic working of the product was decided along with the finalization of the softwares to be used. Efforts were put in to create the basic iteration of the project and further improvements will be done in the coming hours.
Iteration -2:
The interface comprises of 2 interfaces, one android application and a web interface. Android application in for general public users which shows a Map highlighting regions affected by communicable diseases. Additionally each epicentre has an option to click and know precaution measures. The application is very light weight and all the processing is done in backend at a server.
The second interface consists of a web portal for hospitals to enter patient details which will act as a very reliable source of data for application .
Scenario: A general user can open the application and can know about the regions affected by diseases like swine flu, malaria, etc. This will help in containment of diseases and will help government to know the regions affected most by certain diseases. This will also help hospitals and agencies to establish healthcare facilities in severely affected areas.
