Frankly speaking, two-wheelers are the most unsafe form of transport and are often the cause of major accidents. Despite the fact that a large group of people depends on it and that several lives are being lost in accidents involving bikes, there has not been any significant research and development for the safety of the rider of two-wheeled vehicles.
And seeing the crowd that is shifting towards personal vehicles the probability of accidents is increasing rapidly. The need of the moment is to reduce the load of driving from the drivers to some tried and trusted technology. This shall reduce the accidents due to careless drivers and also due to driving late night, where the driver is not so prompt on handling.
So, Our project is to build a Self-balancing bike which uses self-balancing system based on restoring torque mechanism to balance the vehicle. When it imbalances beyond a certain limit. The proposed system shall apply a restoring torque on a fly-wheel and ensure from falling.
This product has a wide range of applications:
1) It can reduce the probability of accidents drastically, which happen due to mishandling by the drivers. The response time of the mechanism is quite good which serves for the early reactions to avoid accidents.
2) In the name of autonomous vehicles, most of the researchwork is being done on four-wheelers only. Despite the fact that in countries like India, two-wheelers are the one which require much attention since it is the majorly used means of transport.
3) This idea can be integrated with image processing and machine learning, to generate an auto-drive feature in two-wheelers too.
4) Many beginner-drivers have who are just learning to drive two-wheelers can use this tech to avoid unnecessary harm of vehicle and drivers while learning. This technology will bring a whole lot of change in the way the beginners experience about learning to drive reducing the fear of failure in them.-
