Week 1 Update

• Data orgs and transcriptions are complete.
• All additional topics tagging (the tagging stage in the process) is nearly done and will be grouped next week. (7/25 update: Additional topics tagging is done)
• Began coding 'Building a core team' topic on Saturday, 7/24 (2 days ahead of schedule); theming for topic will be complete by Monday (7/26 update: 'Building a core team' and 'Brigade strategic plan' has been themed. You can view the themes in BOP Analyses doc linked in the issue).

• Audited all BOP quantitative data and made two versions of the final overall ratings and the final 'critical' ratings. (more in-depth data in this sheet)

  • Multi Avg: Multi-person interviews treated as one averaged score (rounded up).
  • Multi Sep: Multi-person interview scores are separated per person (so 77 different data points).
  • Did not include two interviews in the data (one interview was done in the context of GYR/the other was rated 3 across the board)

Week 2 Update

• Rating question analysis: Fundraising, brand and media strategy, and project strategic plan topics are currently being analyzed and will be complete by Monday 8/2
• Additional topics question analysis: Sub-themes were grouped on Miro, sub-theme tags moved into Google sheets for data filtering, analysis of the top 5 groups (volunteer recruitment and engagement, project management, collaborating and connecting within the network, brigade leadership, partnerships) has started and is in progress.

Week 3 Update

• Rating question analysis: DEI goals, building a core team, brigade strategic plan, fundraising, brand and media strategy, project strategic plan, and finally, Code of Conduct have been themed. Clean-up of themes and gathering of quotes will happen next week.

• Additional topics question analysis: Theming for volunteer recruitment and engagement, project management, collaborating and connecting within the network, brigade leadership, partnerships has been complete. Clean-up of themes and gathering of quotes will happen next week.

• Other things: Awareness and usage qualitative analysis has started. Charts for the awareness and usage quantitative data have been created. Responses to the final thoughts question have been pulled for key quotes usage as well.

Week 4 Update

• BOP Awareness and Usage analysis is complete
• Themes have been mostly cleaned (need to double-check terms with the CfA glossary Rene Joy has been working on).
• All quotes for the report have been identified and cleaned up.
• BOP Research Plan doc has been updated (link to it will be added to the report's appendix, including some other docs I'll have to update but that's low priority).
• This weekend, I'll be creating and finalizing the report's charts.

Week 5 Update

• All quotes, themes, and charts for the report have been finalized.
• Both of us have been pretty busy during the week (which we already planned for since week 1), so most of the report making will be worked on during the weekend.
• Completing min. 90% of the report will be the goal by the end of next week (the other 10% are the methods and other research background information).

Week 6 Update

BOP Report BOP Report Feedback Form

• Report is complete and is open for feedback and edits.
• Soft launch was yesterday (sent an email to Em, Meredith, and Ben + posted a blurb on #brigade), but I plan to send an email out to those who have participated in the interviews next Monday (with the feedback form). Will hold off on it Let me know of other forms of share outs that would make sense (e.g. NAC meeting on the 1st)
• Sending an email next week to loop back with research vols to thank them + ask them if they want to opt-out of the Contributors list on the report. Email has been drafted.
  • On the same note, I did start to remove people from the drive or change their permissions so they don't mess up the report but I didn't do a complete clean-up cause I'm unsure of who should/shouldn't stay. @ag2463

I can make it to next Tuesday's meeting to discuss the above further, just let me know if it's happening. @ExperimentsInHonesty

@MarianneAnthonette Thanks for the update! and for the work on the report. We're having our meeting on Tuesday so please come and we can discuss. Would prefer if you hold off on sending out emails to participants until after next week's meeting. @thadk and @ExperimentsInHonesty are still going over the collected assets and potentially regrading them, also we are still reaching out to acquire missing links/documents, so some of your numbers of P&P's ready to be shared in the report are likely to change.
