Notes from meeting

UI / UX CTJ 6pm PST meeting 2-1-22

• Patty did a C + C for the CMS side -what is looks like to upload a volunteer opportunity on two sites
• Helene is working on a C + C for volunteers looking for volunteer opportunities; she can be done with that later this week
• Jen and Grace are working on the user flow and should be done with that next week (the PMs asked that testing the user flow be the researchers’ priority task)
• Testing the calendar on the qualifier page – we can test a prototype and have users try it out on their mobile device for testing purposes; this will be ready next week
• We discussed a potential new meeting time instead of meeting right after our CTJ meeting on Tuesdays at 5 pm PST – this gives time to digest what’s discussed in the Tuesday meeting; Patty is available during daytime hours, but no other evening hours; what would everyone else’s availability be? Perhaps Jen can send out a calendar link to track
• The goal is to keep taking meeting notes each week so that what we’ve done each week can be better tracked and handed off when the time comes
• Create a meeting agenda each week – place under Docs and Onboarding in Github
• The Researchers are meeting this Friday – an agenda will be uploaded prior to that meeting by Patty

UI/UX CTJ Meeting (6PM PST) - Notes taken by Eva

Banner for Survey

• Based on feedback by Bonnie, the focus of the banner should be identity of Civic Tech Jobs & convey that we are collecting information through this survey
  • Would be beneficial to keep images of people on the banner to convey that we are bringing people together
  • Suggestion from Eva: Enlarge hero image
  • Janzen will continue to iterate to see how to solve the issue of viewing the image on smaller devices
    • His suggestion is to omit floating elements in order to focus on two people on top

MVP Search Page

• May need to change copy regarding onboarding + skills
• Was suggested during meeting to change flow by replacing "creating an account" with signing up for onboarding
  • However, that flow existed previously and that was troublesome because their information in regards to meeting availability/qualifiers was not saved
• One suggestion is to utilize cookies in order to save this information rather than having to save it within the account

MVP How to Join Page

• Temporarily utilize existing Hack for LA counterpart but will need to eventually build out our own that is very similar to it in our own styles and colors
• All team members are assigned to build 2-4 iterations
