Message Template 1

Hi [project’s name] ! My name is Julia and I’m a co-lead from the UI/UX CoP.

One of our goals for this new year is to provide volunteers with a variety of roles and the most up to date information possible. For this I’m reaching out to all teams to:

1. Make sure your current “Open Roles” cards on the UI/UX CoP github (if any) are updated with the right information:

• Is the role still open?
• Is the description on the cards accurate/up to date?
• Are the points of contact still relevant?

2. Encourage you to discuss the possibility of opening new roles:

• Are there any tasks you need done that could potentially be a role?
• Are there any skills your team/project is missing?
• Can the workload be shared?

We've had a lot of amazing volunteers onboard in the new year and looking for their next opportunity! :) If you could reply to this thread letting me know of the status of this I'd kindly appreciate it!

Update: I rewrote and updated this issue. I made a new list of actions items. I found a list of active projects but I can tell these are outdated. I asked around for more resources and will look myself too. Once I get an updated list I will paste it here and begin messaging teams. I also wrote a different message template that contains a survey. That way we can keep better record of answers.

Update: Once the website gets updated we will have the most recent list of active projects. If any open roles are from teams that are on hold we should check with admin about them.

This issue was resolved when we migrated boards on github but needs to be made into a housekeeping issue to keep track of roles and ask for updates, once in a while
