Overview

We need to create a guide for UX Experience Profile so that members can use it to track their courses at Hack for LA

Details

It has been determined that this needs to be both a guide and a slide presentation.

Action Items

[x] Gather examples of how other projects or volunteers have done this (if applicable), adding each example as a link in the resources section below
- [x] Once done, remove the "Guide: Gather Examples" label and add the "Guide: Research" label
[x] Research existing information about [name of item] in [relevant resources, articles, etc.]
- [x] Once done, remove the "Guide: Research" label and add the "Guide: Draft Guide" label
[x] Create a draft guide, either in markdown format in this issue or a google doc in the [ux/ui google drive]
- [x] Once done, remove the "Guide: Draft Guide" label and add the "Guide: Review Guide" label
[x] Review the guide with UX/UI community of practice
- [x] Once done, remove the "Guide: Review Guide" label and add the "Guide: Leadership Review" label
[x] Present to the Hack for LA leadership team for sign off
- [ ] Once approved, remove the "Guide: Leadership Review" label and add the "Guide: Place Guide" label
  - [ ] Leadership had defined additional steps that need to be completed for this guide
    - [ ] Make a companion guide that includes
    - instructions for creating the experience profile from issue template
    - making a copy of the activity log
    - Weekly updating of issue and log
    - attending hackforla linkedin workshops
    - [ ] Reformat the deck to look like guides

Update issue hackforla/UI-UX#15 with the name of item you are working on Folder where the assets are (including draft guide) - old google drive DRAFT guide in the form of a slide deck Figma from guides team

1: Please create an experience profile for yourself. 2: Check items that are relevant to you and link them to your work 3: Add experience action items that you think are missing.

After reviewing it with the community, the guide needs to be modified with the HfLA template.

@tan-zhou it looks like this issue says all the things above are done, but there is no link to any resources for instance Gather: Other communities of practice templates (product has one)

If its not a guide, just a template. And you are using it and its been signed off on. Let's annotate the upper part with the links and close this issue out. Please reach out to Bukki on slack with change to the status on this. She is on the guides team (the slack channel is #guides ) so that she can update the tracker we are creating.

I have linked to the folder where the current draft is. Its in a slide deck template. This needs to be discussed with @kvnw2020 to determine if we want to keep it in its current format or move it to a guide template

Put in Prioritized Backlog due to making adjustments for UX Experience Profile Templates and transition to Prework Template. hackforla/knowledgebase-content#53 Guide is put on hold.
