Volunteers will work solo. Depending on the numbers of volunteers joining, at least 15, they will be divided into groups of 3-5.
Breakout rooms will be available for groups.
Choose a prompt to work on:
Prompt 1: Design a scheduling app or website for a local fitness business that streamlines class bookings and simplifies instructor and class management.
Prompt 2: Design a mobile app for a public transportation system that provides real-time updates on routes, schedules, and nearby amenities to improve the commuter experience.
Prompt 3: Design a digital platform to aid small businesses affected by challenges, like Covid-19, connecting them with volunteers, donors, and customers for financial aid, marketing, and online sales support.
Create a Design Mock Up as a final deliverable, thinking about:
a. Research Plan: What information do you need to know? What methods would you use to find that information? Who is your user? What is their goal?
b. User Flow/Journey: What are the current needs and pain points of the user? What is the context? How does your solution fit in the user's journey?
c. Design Concepts/Mock Ups: What does your solution look like? How does your solution solve the user's problem?
Present your deliverables.
