Daree has over 20 years' experience with technical writing and copywriting. She has also written three personal development books (2 for youth), and started her personal development podcast in 2015. As a voice talent, she lends her voice for corporate communications, commercials and training courses. As a CASA, she advocates for youth in her local community who are abused, neglected, and either wards of the court or facing foster care. She enjoys inspiring people and using her voice for good.

"I joined the Youth Justice Nav project at Hack for L.A. because it's a cause to empower youth when it comes to the justice system. Black and brown people are disproportionately affected by miscarriage of justice in America. Many of them find it difficult to assert their civil rights, partly because they don't know what they don't know. But this project helps educates youth and their families about their rights under the law, and will help change that."
