Update Privacy Policy for EA Website to Provide More Information for Users #231

Overview

Update Privacy Policy for EA website. The current privacy policy is brief, off topic, and does not provide necessary information for users. It should match the tone of voice of the rest of the site, be informational, and clear.

Talk to Dev about how the site functions and ask detail questions so that you can write about the privacy and safety in a user friendly way.

Advice: Use the template and adapt to our site's needs. Write the PP in the tone and voice of the small privacy and safety section that is on the current landing page, rather than in legal jargon. IUT 2 showed that jargon like our current PP makes users distrust our services. It requires a chat with Dev to learn how our product works from their side, what capabilities the site has and why it’s safe (for example: what does “doesn’t save data” mean: how does that work so that our users can learn and know to trust us).

This is the second part of the PP issue found here https://github.com/hackforla/expunge-assist/issues/574 (the other part was to add privacy info on the landing page).

See the template Make copy of template Note: this does not block IUT2 and is not urgent near-term, but should be done by the time we have this available with real users

@SamHyler here is the issue about privacy policy. Irene has legal background, maybe you can start looking into it.

Note from Tom/Dev that as part of the usability testing results, we want to make sure the Privacy Policy is listed in the FAQ so it can be more easily found

There is no feature appropriate besides the p feature, thus no feature label is given
