Guide: UX/UI Accessibility #16
We need to create a guide for UX/UI Accessibility so that designers at Hack for LA can ensure their projects follow accessibility standards.
Update issue #15 with the name of item you are working on
The Guide in the first comment of this issue is a starting point for instructions but will need to be customized and added to based on what projects actually use. Please do not delete the current draft, but rather copy and start a new draft.

Train of Communication So Far
Hana and Danielle said;
"There are accessibility guidelines in the Design Systems guide, but it would be good to have a dedicated accessibility guide with even more details. Whoever is working on this guide can reference the accessibility section of our guide. Ciara Salmon is our dedicated Accessibility advisor, and is already attached to this Issue. Please discuss with her."

author responded and I replied https://github.com/hackforla/UI-UX/issues/16#issuecomment-915306548
She has responded, I made some formatting changes to lower the font size and asked her to continue that. https://github.com/hackforla/UI-UX/issues/16#issuecomment-916963729
She responded and we have written back https://github.com/hackforla/UI-UX/issues/16#issuecomment-921864049
Bonnie talked to Hana and found out some context behind what KiKi (aka SalmonCiara) was concerned about. Bonnie provided more context to Kiki and she is going to do more work. Her work will inform the templates and how to write a guide guide because it involves font size changes.

Bonnie posted a message for another question for the guide
Wait until 2021-10-08 and then ask for update again from Ciara. Will talk to Hana about it today
She responded, will check back on 2021-10-08
no response, give her another week. 2021-10-13
Next step is mine. KiKi needs a new developer who cares about accessibility to work with. Also have Adam Abundas reach out to her after they sort out hackforla.org changes. https://github.com/hackforla/website/projects/7#card-70908491
Adam and and the website team have not made any progress on the changes. Check in again with them next week. 2021-10-25

need to determine if word choices such as click or choose are innately ableist.
This issue requires someone to check on the issues related. Possibly move the guide to another status, etc. Basically needs a through review.
