@pandanista

When you get to the step where you copy the draft template into a new comment, edit the template with the following issue in mind:

To write instructions on how to change the replace plan number, see the following issue (note where it says RP[Replace 000]:

For the first action items in the top comment, add user testing notes to the issue below:

For an example, of a resource referenced on the UI/UX CoP, see this wiki page:

Test assets we are using for this. Bonnie will delete when done.

At some point in our testing, we need access to the intern/number roster so that we can figure out what the process of finding the interviews is (naming of interview recordings was not consistent) TWE: Intern Roster

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 1 year ago

we left off at

in Column B Recording Link, copy and paste the link to each recording video from Resource # 2.04 for each participant's row

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 1 year ago

in the part that says

We need to transcribe the [Replace TYPE OF PARTICIPANT] [Replace TYPE OF INTERVIEW] interview recordings for further conducting data analysis and insights generation on [Replace TYPE OF PARTICIPANT] [Replace RESEARCH GOALS].

i Just looked at the wiki and the research plan doc for 006 and I am not sure what I would put for RESEARCH GOALS

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 1 year ago

in the part that says

In Column A [Replace TYPE OF PARTICIPANT] Number, make sure the count of [Replace TYPE OF PARTICIPANT] Number matches with the number of participants in the recording folder, and delete or add extra rows as needed In Column B Recording Link, copy and paste the link of each recording video from Resource # 2.04 for each participant's row

We need to tell them how to read the filename to know which number is the intern #

In the original training deck/interview instructions there is a set of instructions for how to do the upload, which includes what our numbers scheme was

Here is an example file name image

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 1 year ago

At some point we need to tell them to customize the spreadsheet by editing A2 to do the same Search and Replace

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 1 year ago

lets add a section to the wiki pages for research plans called Recording and Transcription tracking have an item in the instructions after the sheet is made and populated with the recording links, to
Update the wiki page for this research plan (link # 2.01)

Recording and Transcriptions Tracking

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 1 year ago

@pandanista I have tested it again with another person and found the issues I mention above.

pandanista commented 1 year ago

@ExperimentsInHonesty I have updated everything based on the previous comments, also added a placeholder section (see screenshot below) on the wiki page of RP006 so we can update with the real tracking sheet after it is populated.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Thank you, Dionne. I went through all the feedback and addressed them in this comment.

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 1 year ago

@pandanista Issue https://github.com/hackforla/internship/issues/351 will need its template updated after the change is made to address

Dependencies / After second thought, YO decided to leave the dependencies here because: 1. once the issue is created, there is a possibility that there is no assignee, and the UX lead needs to ask the admin of HfLA to add the assignee once decided to the Internship UX vault; 2. we only pay for otter.ai when needed, so UX lead needs to double check on the plan./

Dependency should be

Then it can be retested

Did another round of update on 1/30. All feedback has been incorporated and reflected in the latest template

@pandanista here are the notes from 2023-02-15 PM meeting. I think Kathleen has gone as far as she can. We can discuss these changes at todays's UX meeting

UX lead asks admin to add the team member working on this issue to the 1Password internship-UX's vault

It does not say why

Additionally, it needs the template edited to a new milestone Research Plan Execution

The template has been updated, and will be tested by team members when we need to transcribe more interview sessions.

@sunannie27 @KC-skc @ExperimentsInHonesty

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 2 days ago

Break this into two issues

The parts before and after this bullet Rename Uploaded Recording Video Files If Needed

The reason for this change is that it would allow us to create the folder structure and tracking spreadsheet at any time after the research plan is approved and the transcription could then be done separately, on an interview by interview basis, if needed.

Sometimes we do a group of interviews at the same time (e.g., intake) Other times we schedule interviews conducted by only a few researchers, over a longer period of time.

pandanista commented 2 days ago

This template has been updated by removing the renaming recording files, transcribing the recordings, and updating the recording and transcript tracking sheet sections. However, I decided to keep the Set Up A Folder for De-identified Transcripts in the RP[Replace 000] folder, Update the Wiki Page, and Review and Hand-off sections in this template as they are necessary steps to the set-up phase of the transcription.
