Dependencies

- [ ] All the user interview issues have been created IS21 didn't set up those issues, but all interviews were conducted. See TWE: IS21: RP001: Intern Exit Interview Roll Call and Session Table - [ ] Interview Recording Upload Form needs to be created The interviews were conducted before we set up the upload form, so it doesn't apply in RP001's case

Overview

We need to clean up and de-identify RP001's Intern Exit interview transcripts so that we can move on to the data analysis and insights generation phase.

During these tasks, you will be asked to add links to the Resources/Instructions section, and that section is at the bottom of this issue (go view it now).

Another tip is to use split browser windows side by side when working on any GitHub issue, so you can edit the issue on one window, and check the resources or click through links on the other window to avoid a lot of back and forth. Make sure to refresh both windows to reflect any changes you made, including updating the issue or checking the boxes on one of them.

@AndrewSalvatore Thank you for working on this issue.

I've updated the template based on your feedback and created a to be de-identified Google doc in the Intern 002's folder.

I made a few minor edits to the de-identified transcript and updated the link in Resources # 2.09 with the de-identified transcript in the de-identified transcript folder. Everything looks good.

@sunannie27 Please review the deliverables in Resources # 2.03, 2.06-2.09.

Let us know if you have any questions.

ExperimentsInHonesty commented 8 months ago

@AndrewSalvatore I just reviewed the de-identified transcript (resource 2.09) and I think it would be helpful if we used Grammarly to add in punctuation that is indicated. Example:

Good, thank you. So where are you calling in from?

Should be Good, thank you. So, where are you calling in from?

It will make it easier to read, when analyzing.

Grammarly chrome extension

--- @sunannie27 and I also reviewed all the other documents and they seem done. So consider this the product signoff on those.

Thank you for the feedback, @bonniewolfe and @sunannie27. I cleaned up the punctuation using Grammarly so @AndrewSalvatore could focus on the video and the script for the video.

Closing this issue since it is now completed.

There is one minor change for the transcript cleaning up process, and thank you for being so patient with us, @AndrewSalvatore.

Would you please update "interviewer" with "UXR 002" in intern 002's transcript? I also noticed the "interviewee" should be replaced by "Intern 002". Much appreciated!

We decided to include the UXR numbers in the transcripts because 1). there might be different probing questions for semi-structured interviews from different interviewers, and 2). it will be easier to reference the UXR when doing analysis or making highlight reels (if needed).

@pandanista Both are fixed now

Awesome, thank you, @AndrewSalvatore. I am closing this issue since the transcript looks good now.

@SalomeM-UXD: I am assigning this issue to you.

Thank you very much!

Quick question: I cannot find the link to the videos mentioned in the step below on the spreadsheet, but I have been given access to the interview video separately. I just want to confirm if these two are the same thing. image

SalomeM-UXD commented 2 weeks ago

I've noticed that the time stamps on transcripts 2.09 and 2.08 are different. Is there a specific reason for this? I assumed that all time stamps need to be identical.

I believe the time stamps on the de-identified document are more accurate. Should I use those time stamps for referencing on the Excel sheet?

pandanista commented 2 weeks ago

@SalomeM-UXD They are different because the to-be-identified transcript came with a set of timestamps (I assume it was from Zoom) while the de-identified transcript's timestamps were cleaned up and processed based not the recorded interview.

Yes, for the spreadsheet, we should use the de-identified transcript's timestamps because it matches with the recorded interview video.

SalomeM-UXD commented 2 weeks ago

@pandanista Okay, cool—I listened to the whole interview and finished reviewing Resource 2.09 (the de-identified transcript), and I didn't find any PII that was not addressed. However, I still do not see the point of finding PII in Resource 2.08 since it has already been deidentified in Resource 2.09, which I already reviewed for the third time.

Please let me know if I am missing anything otherwise, this issue should be done

SalomeM-UXD commented 2 weeks ago

We only had one occasion when UXR mentioned another Intern's name in 2.09, which was not referenced correctly. It is explained in the excel sheet @pandanista .

pandanista commented 2 weeks ago

@SalomeM-UXD: I see why you got confused, please follow the instructions in this comment.

Thank you very much!
