TWE: Research Ethics Guide: How to Write Consent Forms: Draft

Overview

We need to have a guide on how to write consent forms to make sure our research efforts are in compliance with research ethics, data privacy, and security.

Action Items

[x] Read through the HfLA Template on Making a Guide(Resources # 1.01)
- [ ] There is also a video illustrating how to make a guide (Resources # 1.02)
[x] Start formatting and drafting the guide on how to store data
[x] Save it to Internship > Internships > Research > Guides and How-Tos > Ethics Guide
[x] Copy the URL of the guide you just created
[x] In Resources # 2.01, add parentheses () at the end of the line with no space in between the right bracket ]
[x] Place the link you just copied between the parentheses so it turns into a hyperlink
[x] Choose "Update comment" in Github and make sure all the checkboxes above have been checked
[x] Review with project leads (this might take multiple rounds)
[x] Update the content based on feedback (this might take multiple rounds)
[x] Save the approved draft to the UI/UX Guides folder for distribution [Resources # 1.03]
[x] Copy the URL of the guide that has been approved in the UI/UX Guides folder
[x] In Resources # 2.02, add parentheses () at the end of the line with no space in between the right bracket ]
[x] Place the link you just copied between the parentheses so it turns into a hyperlink
[x] Choose "Update comment" in Github and make sure all the checkboxes above have been checked

According to the action item, we need to move the GUIDE: How to write consent forms to the Research Ethics Guide folder on the UI/UX COP drive since the how to write consent form google doc has been approved.
- Happy to move the Google doc if someone can grant me appropriate access to the UI/UX COP drive. With the current setting, I can't move the Google doc to the Ethics Guide folder on the UI/UX COP drive. I only have access to internship and internship - PII drives. Happy to move it if
- Or someone with higher access to UI/UX COP can help us move the document.
