Overview

Design a high level system architecture and illustrate the design.

@tylerthome I don't have the permissions to add myself to this ticket. Could you do that for me please. And in addition switch the priority to the highest one. We need the architecture designed as we start developing the software. In addition, we will need to write the design for the REST API so that the front end team will be able to develop against it. Thanks :)
