Overview

We need to figure out the needs for removing profiles, removing saved projects, clearing cookies & personal information as required under GDPR. Likewise, and perhaps even more applicable is the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Action Items

Resources/Instructions

Actually, CCPA only applies to California residents for-profit organizations, NOT to government or non-profit organizations - though it would probably be best practice to more-or-less comply with the requirements anyway.

On the official page it states that it's not applicable to nonprofits or govt. A. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE CCPA 6. Does the CCPA apply to nonprofits or government agencies? A: The CCPA generally does not apply to nonprofit organizations or government agencies.

It sounds like we need to find out if Alexander and Emily are interested in sending this to Legal or their department heads for prioritization. If they are not, we need to determine if HfLA/TDM team wants to prioritize it.

So adding this to agenda with the question Is it ok for us to add items to future agendas related to GDR Compliance https://gdpr.eu/checklist/ as HfLA works through complying with GDPR which is not required for government or non-profit organizations.

Alexander said he thinks it's fine if we include it, as long as we are sensitive to their schedule priorities. So we will add any items to the deck with a note indicating it can be skipped for time)
