As discussed, what is going on is that when the website reloads (after changes are made), Jekyll/Docker remake more pages that necessary to display the changes. According to @akibrhast their system is Windows sans WSL. The next step is to find whether:

This is a bug with Jekyll.
This is a bug with Docker.
This is a bug with running our website through Windows sans WSL.
