Thanks for sharing Susan.

From their website, it seems people need to create events. Creating an event is easy. It's best to be ready with an event name, description, date/times, and a location. Be thinking about what STEM categories it best fits as well. Click New Event under the Events heading at the top of the page.

Screen scraping all events will be hard enough. Asking 30 different organizations to use "yet another tool" is less likely.

Most likely scenario seems to be that we find or create a tool to scrape together events and then feed them to groups like STEMLinx, or encourage them to setup a copy of the tool to pull more of the events they want automatically.

I just got out of the Upstate STEM collaborative meeting earlier today, and just wanted to let you know they have just launched STEMlinx.org which is basically an aggregator for all tech groups and resources in the state. The director is working out of Clemson and he said he'd love to make a special category for any and all Upstate tech groups to use. It is pretty much a finished version of a lot of the things we were brainstorming.

To get access go to www.stemlinx.org and fill out a profile, and select that you want to be a contributor. They are also in the early stages of testing and giving away free advertising on the site at the moment.

This seems like this could be really great if we can get the word out about it.

I've been a little under the weather lately so I'm not sure if I'm going to make it Tuesday, if not hope you guys have a great meeting.

Maybe see you on the repo if I ever get a chance to really figure it out (every time I think I get it, I get lost again, and I just don't have the time to spend on really learning a new system like that for communication right now.)

Best,

Susan
