Please change the title of this repository. A beginner looking for something to ease with starting project LaTeX might find this. A beginner cannot judge the quality of the code. Please read more about templates at Minimale Vorlage vs. maximale Probleme and LaTeX Vorlagen.

Hi Florian,

many beginners beginning with LaTeX to write their master thesis, bachelor thesis, Diplomarbeit or whatever are looking for a template to get started quickly. As stated in the linked material, many of those so called templates are old.

Yours for example uses \bf which is obsolete for twenty years. Package fancyhdr should not be used with KOMA-script, instead package scrlayer-scrpage is recommended these days. Some of the KOMA-options are obsolete and get KOMA to run in compatibility mode.

You are loading package pslatex, please read what the author says it does ;-)

the option pdftex, no matter if global or restricted to a package is not doing anything useful; worst case is doing harm.

Setting the club- and widow penalty is an often seen way to prevent but it is just copy pasting the code along with the misleading comment (i guess). If you want to know more: What are the downsides of \widowpenalty10000 \clubpenalty10000?

Concerning the name: Maybe just example? Sounds less official. The words template and Vorlage seems to give the impression of something reliable.

Btw: Youor code is not shitty, i am just a bit annoyed to see the very same mistakes over and over again doing support at goLaTeX. Feel free to visit and contribute. :-)

Hi Johannes,

Thank you for your suggestions. I wanted to incorporate them for three weeks now, and am not getting around to do it. Please don't hold your breath as this thing doesn't seem to have any users (at least that's what it looks like from the GitHub stats) and I don't have a development environment to check your suggestions against at the moment.

I forked, changed (improved mostly) and made a pull request. Improving code quality on the internet is a major discussion topic and will also be discussed in Darmstadt. Unfortunately i cannot attend.
