During the 2017 project season, IIRC we were playing around with S3 hosting originally as a way of publishing the front-end web sites ("knowing" that we would likely migrate to a superior approach later on in the season). These were merely meant for testing purposes, not for publishing to the public.
Around end of January 2017, the following buckets were created, and were populated with corresponding frontend content throughout the season:
None of these buckets are necessary now that we have a single container hosting all the 2017 frontend sites (at http://2017.civicpdx.org). They can probably just be deleted, but if you're feeling conservative, we can archive their contents and upload to a backup directory just like I did for #186.
