Why should this be removed?

Repository has been abandoned. The April HA release started warning about deprecated properties, and nearly 50 issues have been opened trying to alert the maintainer that a fix is needed. Reading through these issues and pending pull requests, it seems confirmed that the repo has been abandoned. Also, the author has not been active on Github since January of this year, and rarely so since October of last year.

Based on the same issues and pull requests mentioned above, https://github.com/wuwentao/midea_ac_lan seems to have taken up the mantle, fixed this issue, and continued development.
