The current single template curve is analytically maximised over amplitude and phase but is also currently numerically maximised over time shift. This will significantly increase the false alarm rate.
When you don't maximise over the time shift and use the exact correct value then the whole calculation is semi-analytic and can be done separate from the dataset. This is the curve we should be plotting. I will compute it.
