Computing resource for the workshop #1

I was looking through the schedule and it seems at least some of topics will need more than a regular laptop. Do we have some form of computing resource available that attendees can use? If not, how do we plan to approach this?

Another point: Based on my past experiences with workshop, R and Rstudio almost always lead to all sorts of surprising problems on personal laptops (versions, environments, OS, etc...). Therefore, is there a better solution than having everybody install R/Rstudio on their own machine? Binder perhaps?

Hello Sichong, Sorry, I didn't notice your question till today. Everyone will bring their own laptops, and have access to Iowa State HPC server. As for R and R studio, we can use the Discovery environment (Cyverse) docker image.
