The x64 executable is being rated WS.Reputation.1 as "infected". Probably something to warn users at https://github.com/appetizermonster/hain/issues/225?

I think it's probably misdiagnosis of the anti-virus. or your computer has been infected by something. I scanned installer, zip, executable of hain on virustotal.com, and it shows no problems.

Oh, no. I'm sure it's fine and it's just a misdiagnosis; yet it'll be helpful for some folk out there who may not expect the message.

Also, nifty app! Great job :)

My anti-virus software (Checkpoint) also identifies any Hain version 6+ as PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic and deletes the installation and download. What changed from version 5 to version 6 that would cause this? For now, I have to run the last version 5 of Hain.

cpriest commented 7 years ago

If you can post more details about what about it is detecting as a trojan that would be helpful. Otherwise please contact Checkpoint about it and see if they can shed any more light on it. W/O further information I would say it's a false positive.

Avast also thinks there is a problem with 0.6.4, says the file is suspicious.

hain.exe v0.6.4 detected by 3 engines on VirusTotal - it's a showstopper for getting it installed at work. https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/8332856af0ff08bef026c0665f7b19aa61b4c5f92d3caf78992a35d8ca713207 @appetizermonster any ideas?
