Content of folders has vanished in Version 2.1.7 #600

Since the update to version 2.1.7, the Seafile client on my Samsung Note 10.1 (SM-P600 2014 Edition WiFi) running Android Version 5.1.1 does not show any files inside the individual folders anymore. The folder names are displayed in the App but when I click on them, I only get a huge gray folder logo instead of the expected file list. The server I use for my homecloud is a Cubieboard 3 running Seafile Server 4.0.6. under Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS. Syncing to my two Windows Clients is working just fine. Only the Android client is unusable for me at the moment.

I tried to delete the local files in the Seafile folder on my tablet and then tried deinstalling / reinstalling the App itself. Unfortunately this did not help, the problem persists. 20161128_132124

Hi,

Same here, on 2.1.6.apk everything is good but on 2.1.7.apk i got the same trouble for samsung android builds or google vanilla both on android 6

This maybe a compatible issue. @toast-hawaii can you try to upgrade the server to v5.1 or v6.0?

freeplant commented 7 years ago

Does it happen to all folders or to a specific folder?

toast-hawaii commented 7 years ago

In my case it happens to all the folders. Concerning the server upgrade: I might have the time to try it out on the weekend. I'll have to do some tutorial reading first.

Same issue here with seafile client v2.1.7 on android v6.0.1. I don't have the issue with seafile v2.0.3 on android v4.0.4.

Reverting back from v2.1.7 to v2.1.6 did fix the issue.

FWIW, I also downgraded from v2.1.7 to v2.1.6 to be able to retrieve content from my very old server.

My server is v4.0.6. Not that old! Is it?

freeplant commented 7 years ago

v4.0.6 is old. Our current version is 6.0.

Thanks. I've upgraded the server to 6.0. I'm still using the old URL path (without "/seafile/") because the clients are of the v4.* series, too. Looks to work after few tests.
