Fixes #5:

Updated README with badges, and up-to-date links.
Providing .yml build-configuration-file that is ready to go with Travis/Codecov/Coveralls.
Adding sample unit-tests to a few methods.
Removing manual execution of doctests and replacing them with automatic execution, but simply calling pytest --doctest-modules --ignore setup.py
Ensuring that CI builds and tests both Python 2.7 and 3.6 (with doctests only running in 3.6).

Note that after merging this, the badges from the README will still point to my Travis/Codecov/Coverall integration. You need to connect your Github-account to those services and update the badges accordingly to reflect the state of your repository, not of my fork.
