No connection with is3 GiS51078 #32

It's not possible to use your app with the new is3 GiS51078. On my Mac I tried all browsers with no success to find the cube.

On my Iphone and on my Ipad I'm using WebBLE and also there is no connection possible:

On the Iphone: instead of searching for devices an empty video (2 seconds long) is starting and the screen becomes white. On the Ipad the searching never ends and does not show any results.

Finally I'm still not able to test your app on any of my devises.

I have a fix, but its for the giiker library that this web app is dependent on. Luckily that library is written by the same guy who wrote this web app. I will make a pull request tomorrow.

If you want to use the web app now, you can always rename your cube through the Supercube app. The Giiker Bluetooth wrapper assumes the prefix of the cube name is GiC which the old Giiker i3 started with. The Giiker i3s name starts with GiS.

Your app is brilliant. However, I am unable to connect to my new i3s. I have renamed the prefix to GiC. Although the connection is not established. Neither from Chrome on W10 nor from Android. Nevertheless, I can connect through this site: https://bluetooth.cubing.net/ Will you have any fix in the near future or other tip how to get connected? Thanks, Gabor

What happened to the pull request? There is still no way to use the is3!

I ended up forking the project and it works for the i3s, but it doesn't work for the older cube. I believe the developer is aware of this, there are many existing issues on the library repo that mentions the problem. https://pdoronila.github.io/smart-cube-timer/

Why didn’t you create a pull request for that (in addition to your own fork).

pdoronila commented 5 years ago

There are already a couple pull requests in the original Giiker library to support both cubes. They just haven’t been merged in.
