Image size in PDF from R Markdown in RStudio #1859

With HTML slides produced from R Markdown in RStudio, I can export PDFs with the recommended method (appending ?print-pdf#/ in Chrome), but images in portrait format are split on two slides. How could this be fixed?

This is the only problem in my workflow: I do need to be able to send PDFs after presentations if I want to switch to Reveal.js − which is a wonderful piece of software!
