No sound seconds after starting a stream

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start a sopcast stream
2. Wait for the stream to start
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The image & sound should be OK
after few seconds there is no sound anymore.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu 32 bits 10.04 , got installed via your PPA & using the VLC from the 
lucid bleed PPA

Please provide any additional information below.

Some logs about incorrect use of LibVLC : 

../../include/vlc_xlib.h:46:vlc_xlib_init: Xlib not initialized for threads.
This process is probably using LibVLC incorrectly.
Pass "--no-xlib" to libvlc_new() to fix this.

Please take a look at the following bug post for a different project using vlc, 
http://code.google.com/p/bangarangissuetracking/issues/detail?id=233#c4. It 
appears to be an upstream issue, you can try to adjust the setting in the 
daemon.conf file as this seemed to fix the issues for that user. You may also 
resolve this by downgrading the vlc player from the bleed version. Please let 
me know if you resolve this.

I created a similar setup to what you described in virtualbox, none of the 
fixes mentioned on the link in my previous post made any difference in how the 
sound performed. With a little more googling I came across this post from the 
vlc forums: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=86906. It looks like 
a recompile is necessary if you want to use with sopcast player with the 
embedded vide player. I was still able to use sopcast player, but I had to use 
the external player command. I will see if I can come up with a better fix for 
this issue in a future release.

I have overcomed that problem by using VLC as external player. The sound is now 
working.

I use Ubuntu 11.10 and I installed SopCast Player. After a while, the program 
refused to start. I use 2ClickUpdate and it seems that the application has 
replaced the program with Ferramosca's version. I uninstalled the program and I 
installed Ferramosca's program. After a while, even this program has not 
started. I uninstalled and reinstalled, alternatively, both programs, but none 
could be started. I do not know what could be done in this situation. I would 
be happy if you could help me.
