Thanks for this excellent opencore EFI.

1) My external 4k monitor which works under Windows 10/11 and Ubuntu at 4k only shows 720p/1080p/1600x900 under macos ventura 13.5.1. any ideas?

2) volume inc/dec hotkeys work, but mute does not?

  1. I'm not sure, hackintoshes are very weird in terms of external monitors sometimes, when connecting to my TV it'll show it's refresh rate as 120hz even tho it's only 60 so this may be another case of Mac os being funny with monitors, it also could be interface used to connect the monitor making it weird

  2. The mute key should work but with my setup I can't test it

the mute button works, as on screen the nice mute icon shows up, but the audio/sound still goes on, meanwhile the volume inc/dec bottons work as expected meaning the volume goes up or down with the onscreen right icons. Screenshot 2023-09-23 at 1 40 25 PM

Hm that's weird, might be an applealc bug? Idk

halal-beef commented 1 year ago

Hmmm, I've tested the mute key (fn + F1) and it works completely fine for me

Damn, all the bugs unreproducible on my side

Apologies, this one is reproducable, I was only able to mute with my headphones in, I don't know why the internal speakers can't use the mute hotkey
