The color used for error messages in our product was chosen to be noticeable for most users by having it be a contrast with the blue background. While individual preferences may vary, I believe our design managed to achieve its primary goal of alerting the user when an error occurs to execute a command. Fast typing users can immediately get out of this red font color mode by adding or deleting a single character, should they find it difficult to find the error in their command. Therefore, we are rejecting this as the chosen color should not present a significant issue.

Reason for disagreement: [replace this with your explanation]
Steps to reproduce: I keyed in an incorrect command
Actual result: My entry turned red
Issue: Due to the dark colour of the background, the change in colour made it hard for me to see the command. Let's say a user types in an add command wrongly or another command that is longer, due to the UI, they would struggle to look through the command and find where they made a mistake since the command is so difficult to see.
Steps to improve: Maybe you could just change the colour for when a wrong command is entered to something that would pop up better on your dark background! Maybe trying a lighter red could work? Or highlighting the wrong command in red instead of changing its font colour!
