Autocomplete works when adding new characters, but not when removing characters #7

It would make sense for the autocomplete options to be updated not only when the user types in new characters, but when characters are removed through backspacing as well.

Autocomplete options are updated on any key press including 'backspace'.

Reason for disagreement: Here's a gif showing the autocomplete disappearing instead of updating correctly upon using backspace, tested on the command appt-find:

I'm not sure if this might be a reason why it can't be reproduced on your end, but I'm testing this on Ubuntu 18.04. (I realise that I probably should've classified this issue as a low severity functionality bug instead since it doesn't work as specified, but ah it's too late.)
