Progress/works? #1

Was wondering if any progress was made with this repo or if any ports/roms have come from this. Just starting off myself and learning from the start, attempting to teach myself to possibly release a port for the rhyme for a friend even though it is outdated.

Hey,

Yes a port did result from this but it's very buggy. The rootfs required some tweaking that I haven't committed to this repo yet, but I can host the .tar.gz for you if you'd like. Currently 2D video, and audio are working. Everything else (camera, DSP, wifi, and probably calling) does not. Oh, and the phone reboots every hour (~3600s after boot) and I've no idea why.

It would be nice to have another set of eyes looking at this. I've been busy with other Android things and haven't really put any time into fixing these issues. Kanging from another 7.2 port would probably be easiest.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll write up a readme for how to install. It's certainly not at a flashable zip point yet. There's some fastboot, recovery, and adb required to install. Am 21.07.2013 09:23 schrieb "purren" notifications@github.com:

I too am interested in seeing this get to a flashable state. I have a that belongs to my sister-in-law. It is currently semi-bricked with the GSM MIUI ROM floating around- didn't realize it was a GSM ROM until too late. Stupidly, I broke the first rule of flashing and didn't make CWM backup before I flashed tsk tsk.

I don't suppose you have the VZW RUU for the Rhyme, do you? HTC, and all the mirrors, seem to have taken it down...

@btrbver2 Sorry, but I'm currently in the last semester of my engineering degree and I don't have time to work on this project right now.

I went and looked through my archives and I don't have the RUU, but I do have a nandroid backup of the original Verizon software. Let me know if you're interested in that and I can see about providing an archive to restore from.

You would make my day if I could get that backup image!

Thanks!
