Post successful EC patch - which BIOS? #220

I have succesfully patched the EC 1.14. Now, I have noticed I have an old BIOS (2.52). Can I upgrade it to the latest one, or will it remove the EC firmware?

And if I have to patch again the EC, do you recommend a alternative BIOS?
